Operating Room (OR) Kits are designed specifically for physicians to have everything they need for surgery, according to configurations that can be customized as needed. Before operation, physicians or anesthetists can simply retrieve the kit with barcode or RFID tags, which simplifies and speeds up the organization of the operating room, having everything immediately available at hand in a single kit. All kinds of medication activities during the operations are recorded in the system. During the operation, all products removed are deducted from the inventory when user picks the medication and supplies. When the remaining items are returned to the system, they are registered back into the inventory system. Thanks to integration with the Anesthesia information systems (AIS), our system will automatically check the billing record of the patient with the actual usage record. This way, stock follow-up, expenditures and revenues are brought under control. For controlled substances, access to a selected single type of medication is allowed only for a unit dose in the presence of a witness. Continuity of cold storage is ensured with continuous temperature/humidity monitoring with warnings to the users if issues arise.
